Valerie Jane Morris-Goodall was born in London, England. Jane is an English primatologist and anthropologist. She is well known for her long-term research on wild chimpanzees and their social and family interactions in Tanzania. She is a leader in the effort to protect chimpanzees and their habitats. Jane was named a UN Messenger of Peace in 2002.
