After I had made the Trucks Quilt for my son and for a few friends I decided to try my hand at some airplanes. My intention was to keep it simple and whimsical. I created a quilt with six simple fused pieces that make the airplane and every other block a nine patch. It can't be much simpler than that! I have one of the planes flying off the quilt with a banner being pulled that has the child's name. This is a great gift for a new baby. Airplanes finishes at 36" x 50, perfect for a crib top!
