This quilt was inspired in 2005 by my then-eight year old. It was modeled from a photo taken in 2002, and debuted as an award winning art quilt in 2007. It appears in the 2009 AQS Engagement Calendar.
Students asked if I would pattern the quilt, and here it is in November 2008. My son insisted his uniform now match the team he has played with since 2007.
Batter Up ! is fused and raw edge appliqué. Numbers can place on your batter's uniform to impress your little ball player. The numbers included are designed wrinkled to look "real" on the batter's chest. It is a fun pattern sure to be loved by all the players in your life!
