U.S. National Park System ParkStamps™

The National Park Service manages well over 400 individual units covering more than 85 million acres in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and US territories.

While there are at least 19 naming designations, these units are commonly referred to as "parks."  The diversity of the parks is reflected in the variety of titles given to them. These include such designations as national park, national preserve, national monument, national memorial, national historic site, national seashore, and national battlefield park.

Brief definitions of the most common titles can be found here, which is also where we have copied the italicized text herein from.

We mirror the Park Service outlook and include all designations as ParkStamps™. Individual park units can be found by their name or state/territory location using the magnifying glass "Search" field in upper left hand corner of page.
