Sandra Day O’Connor was born in 1930 in El Paso, Texas. O’Connor was an attorney, judge, politician, first female majority leader of the Arizona Senate, Chancellor of the College of William and Mary, and the first female associate justice of the United States Supreme Court. She most frequently aligned with the conservative views and opinions. In 2009, Sandra was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama.
